For an adult who will serve as a leader, co-leader, or assistant leader of a Girl Scout troop or group.

I understand that as a leader of Troop # , for the year , I play an essential role in the success of the Girl Scout experience for the girls with whom I work. I understand that my attitude, behavior, and responsibilities as a role model are critical.

I, therefore, agree to do the following:

__ Complete an Adult Volunteer Application that will be updated every three(3) years.
__ Register as a member of the Girl Scouts of the U.S.A.
__ Attend Basic Leadership Training, Part I and Part II (for each level I will work with)
__ Serve as a responsible representative of the Girl Scouts of Camden County NJ, Inc. to the community.
__ Work as a team with other adult volunteers and Council staff in fulfilling my leadership responsibilities.
__ Promote retention through bridging activities.
__ Support all Council fund raisers and money earning activities: Family Share, QSP/Nuts, Cookie Program, Spring Appeal.
__ Be informed by making sure that a representative of my troop attends all Service Unit Meetings.

In addition, as Troop Leader, I will carry out the following responsibilities in regard to:

Troop Program:

- Be sensitive to the needs of each girl.
- Respect the places and people with whom I come in contact.
- Carry out a balanced girl-planned program that ensures the health and safety of the girls.
- Participate in Service Unit and Council events and Product Sales.
- Become familiar with all the materials and books provided for Girl Scout leaders of the age level with which I work.

Finances:

__ Maintain accurate records.
__ File Troop Financial Report in June.
__ File “Money Earning Request” where necessary.

Procedures:

__ Register troops by October 1st and process additions as they come in.
__ Know the Girl Scout policies and procedures in the Leaders Digest: The Blue Book of Basic Documents.
__ Adhere to the standards, guidelines and procedures in Safety Wise as well as to
additional standards, guidelines and procedures outlined by my Council.
__ Ensure that appropriate forms are completed by girls, parents/guardians, sponsors, etc.
__ Obtain guidance and approval for all activities and trips as designated in Safety Wise,
using the Girl Scouts of Camden County NJ, Inc. resources, forms and procedures.
